Archie and Me #130

Archie and Mr. Weatherbee are up to their knees in a stream, fishing rods tangled and tackle boxes floating beside them, with a priceless exchange about "child-proof" fishing reels playing out in the speech bubbles — pure Riverdale humor at its most endearing. Stan Goldberg's cover pencils bring a sun-drenched, slapstick warmth to this 1981 entry in the long-running series, while a couple of tiny figures in the background add an extra dash of comic chaos to the outdoorsy scene. If you've ever had a fishing trip go sideways, Archie and Me #130 will feel wonderfully familiar.
