Archie and Me #118

The "Conserve Energy" sign on the school wall says it all — Mr. Weatherbee, bundled head-to-toe in a massive blue puffer coat, mittens, and winter boots, insists to a shivering Archie and Betty that the thermostat is absolutely not set too low, while snow piles up outside the window behind him. It's a perfectly timed bit of Riverdale irony from 1980, when energy conservation was very much on everyone's minds. Archie and Me #118 promises the kind of warmhearted, laugh-out-loud humor this series does so well.
