World of Archie (Jumbo Comics) Double Digest #84
In "Wreath Wrath!", Archie’s peculiar bond with a gruff old wolf from the zoo takes center stage, as a flashback reveals how a crash-landing in Mr. Lodge’s North Woods retreat led to an unexpected encounter. With the plane stranded and Archie stranded too, he narrowly escapes a caribou stampede—only to face the real danger: Kanyook, a hungry, exiled wolf once feared as a pack leader. Written and illustrated by Bob Bolling, with inks by Chic Stone, colors by Barry Grossman, and letters by Bill Yoshida, this story blends humor and suspense in a tale that’s as warm as it is wild. The cover, by Bill Golliher and Jim Amash, captures the moment’s tension with a classic Archie flair.
