Archie #533
Spring fever hits Riverdale in this cheerful 2003 installment, as the cover — penciled by Stan Goldberg and inked by Bob Smith — shows Archie sound asleep in full baseball gear, bat and glove in hand, while two amused onlookers peer in at the snoozing slugger surrounded by baseballs, a Riverdale pennant, and baseball cards. The quip "Now there's an early sign of spring…" captures that warm, good-natured humor that makes Archie Comics such a reliable treat. Inside, writer Craig Boldman takes Archie in a different direction with "The Mystery of the Missing Bracelet," promising a fun change of pace from the diamond dreams on display outside.
