Archie #264
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA classic case of a double meaning gone delightfully wrong — Betty arrives dressed for fencing (the sport), only to find Archie hard at work building an actual fence and cheerfully recruiting her to "grab a hammer." The split cover layout captures the misunderstanding perfectly, with Veronica looking on in amusement at left while a very surprised Betty faces the sweaty reality on the right. Dan DeCarlo Jr.'s clean, expressive linework is in fine form here, and the whole setup has the warm, easygoing charm that made Archie comics a staple of 1977 spinner racks.
