The penultimate chapter of this five-part WWII miniseries arrives with a striking cover by Peter Krause — two helmeted soldiers wade through churning surf, rifles raised and ready, with a wave of troops and landing craft visible in the distance behind them. It's a gripping, grounded image that captures the weight and danger of wartime service in a way rarely seen in Archie Comics history. Writers Mark Waid and Brian Augustyn bring Riverdale into the shadow of a world at war, and this fourth issue promises the tension is far from over.

Archie and Reggie's unit lands in Algeria, where the French Vichy forces surrender without a fight, but later they come under fire from Rommel's forces. Back in Riverdale, Mary prevents a fight between Fred and Hiram, while Betty and Veronica begin to find common ground.
