Arak has entered the land of the dead in search of his friends. He manages to find Satyricus in a long line of spirits walking to their judgment and he revives the satyr. But, Valda has just appeared before the judges and it takes the intervention of one of the judges, Gilgamesh himself, to disrupt the proceedings and enable Arak to revive Valda, as well. The comrades manage to fight their way out of the desolation and return to the upper world, but Gilgamesh accepts his fate and returns to the dead. On the way back to the ship, the friends discover that Angelica's city has fallen into ruin.
