This Spanish-language collection kicks off the 'Sub Diego' storyline, where Aquaman faces a devastating catastrophe as the city of San Diego sinks beneath the ocean, forcing its inhabitants to adapt to a new underwater existence. Written by Will Pfeifer and illustrated by Patrick Gleason, this volume reprints the early chapters of the arc, exploring Arthur Curry's struggle to protect both his kingdom and the displaced citizens. It's the first of two volumes collecting the complete story from the 2003 Aquaman series.
Aquaman: Sub Diego #1 (2018) is a standalone story set in the Aquaman series, featuring the character Aquaman alongside a team of underwater operatives. The issue is written by Joe Kelly and illustrated by Doug Mahnke, Yvel Guichet, Darryl Banks, and Dietrich Smith, with inking by Tom Nguyen, Mark Propst, Wayne Faucher, and Sean Parsons, and coloring by David Baron. The cover, penciled and inked by Patrick Gleason, showcases Aquaman in a dynamic underwater scene.
