Aquaman learns the secret of Warhead, a cybernetic being with telepathic powers programmed for war who resisted orders to kill innocents and rebelled against his leaders. He sought out Aquaman, who has similar telepathic powers but is not controlled by others. Through Aquaman, he learns of the military power of Atlantis, and he believes that if he controls Atlantis he could be safe from being controlled by others again.
