Ambush Bug: Year None #3

Issue three of this six-part 2008 DC miniseries leans hard into Ambush Bug's signature self-aware absurdity, and Amanda Conner's cover delivers the joke with perfect comic timing. The green, antenna-sporting Ambush Bug — complete with bunny ears and a fluffy white tail — gazes adoringly at a sleeping blonde woman amid hearts and rumpled bedsheets, his speech bubble cheekily declaring "Not a dream, not a hoax… it's NOT an imaginary story!" A banner promises "the tale we never thought we'd tell: 'Mrs. Ambush Bug'!" — setting up what Giffen and Fleming no doubt make gleefully chaotic inside.
