Ambush Bug #2

DC's delightfully unhinged 4-part mini-series rolls on with issue #2, and the cover by Giffen and Oksner says it all: a titanic, red-eyed koala named Quantis looms over a burning cityscape while a baffled police officer levels his pistol and the green-suited Ambush Bug sprawls in the foreground, cackling "BAAAH HAHAHA!" A civilian watches the chaos from the safety of a nearby vehicle, which feels about right. If a story subtitled "The Koala Who Walks Like a Man!! (Awwww, Cute)" sounds like exactly the kind of absurdist 1985 DC comic you've been missing, you are absolutely correct.
