“The Warlord and the Witch!”

In "The Warlord and the Witch!", young scientist Collins races against time to warn the world of an alien invasion cloaked in a mysterious fog that paralyzes humanity. Spared only by his lead-shielded lab, he finds himself isolated not just from the invasion, but from the very people who should believe him—especially the skeptical Professor Dobson. With the truth buried beneath disbelief and confinement, Collins must find a way to prove the impossible before the fog returns. Art by Harry Lazarus, lettering by Ed Hamilton, and a striking cover by John Buscema and Tom Palmer.

Collins, a young scientist, discovers through his instruments that an alien invasion is coming. The aliens cause a fog that renders humanity in a trance. Collins is spared because he was in his lead shielded lab at the time. After the fog is dispersed, Collins tries to explain what happened to the other scientists including the respected Professor Dobson. No one believes him and he is institutionalized.
