Amazing Spider-Man: Worldwide #2

Peter Parker tears open his civilian jacket to reveal the Spider-Man suit beneath, gazing upward as a massive, mechanical spider-shaped craft looms dramatically overhead amid a shower of shattered debris — a striking painted cover by Alex Ross that captures a hero stepping boldly into something much larger than himself. The "Worldwide" subtitle hints at the globe-spanning scale Dan Slott, Matteo Buffagni, and Giuseppe Camuncoli bring to this 2016 collection, and Ross's richly rendered imagery makes the ambition feel entirely earned. A great entry point into a Spider-Man era that truly thinks big.
