“Brand New Day [Part 1]”

"Brand New Day [Part 1]" marks a pivotal moment in Peter Parker’s life as he struggles to balance his dual identity and responsibilities, facing a tough job search and a night out that takes a dark turn when he’s mugged by someone wearing a Spider-Man mask. The issue, written by Dan Slott and illustrated by Steve McNiven with inks by Dexter Vines, captures Peter’s mounting pressure as he stumbles into the FEAST building, only to find Aunt May volunteering at Martin Li’s outreach program. Aunt May pushes Peter to find a job but, thanks to his spotty work record in his previous employment, he finds this a little tough to do. Peter goes to a club on New Year's Eve with Harry and friends but he is mugged by a guy in a Spider-Man mask. Peter follows the thug right into the FEAST building where he finds Aunt May volunteering at Martin Li's homeless relief operations. Badly in need of some cash, Peter heads to the Daily Bugle not knowing that Jonah is in the midst of handling a buyout crisis. When JJJ refuses to pay Peter, Pete lays into him and watches as Jameson has a heart attack.
