The cover of this February 1980 reprint issue practically leaps off the page, promising the tagline "Deadly Is the Danger Room!" as the classic original X-Men — in their blue-and-yellow uniforms — are put through their paces in Xavier's infamous training facility. Cyclops tumbles dramatically in the foreground while Angel soars overhead, Iceman, Marvel Girl, and Beast navigate the hazard-filled chamber below, all rendered with kinetic energy by cover penciler Bob Budiansky and inker Mike Esposito. Inside, the original Stan Lee and Jack Kirby creative team (inked by Paul Reinman, lettered by Sam Rosen) delivers the story "No One Can Stop the Vanisher!" — a fine showcase of Marvel's mutant heroes in their earliest, most spirited form.
