“Torr”

In "Torr," a fugitive named Pierre La Roc seeks refuge in a wax museum, only to find the exhibits come alive when the police leave. As the lifeless figures pursue him through the halls, he’s forced to confront the eerie truth behind the silent displays—before surrendering, not to justice, but to a mystery deeper than he ever imagined. Written by Stan Lee and illustrated by Steve Ditko, with colors by Stan Goldberg and letters by Artie Simek, this 1961 tale of terror and transformation features a striking cover by Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers.
