Sam Wilson steps into the Captain America role against overwhelming odds — the cover shows him in his Falcon-influenced Cap suit alongside a steely ally, both dwarfed by a looming gallery of masked Hydra villains crowned by the organization's skull emblem. Stuart Immonen and Wade von Grawbadger deliver a cover composition that makes the threat feel genuinely imposing without tipping into melodrama. Rick Remender's 2015 run was clearly building something ambitious, and this second issue promises the new shield-bearer's resolve is about to be tested hard.
