The penultimate chapter of Brian Wood's Aliens: Defiance series arrives with this tense Stephanie Hans cover that pulls the reader into a claustrophobic nightmare — a lone human figure, weapon raised and eyes alert, is surrounded on all sides by the looming dark forms of Xenomorphs closing in from every angle. The composition is deliberately disorienting, framing the scene from above to emphasize just how outnumbered and cornered the protagonist is, bathed in a wash of cool blue and urgent red light.
