Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. #3
Part of Marvel's 2016 "Standoff" crossover event, this third case file drops two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents — one gripping a flashlight, the other staring back with urgent intensity — right into a scene webbed in red laser grids and cordoned off by "Avengers Crime Scene" tape. The low-angle perspective and cool, moody lighting by colorist Rachelle Rosenberg give the cover by Mike Norton a sharp investigative tension that fits the "Coulson Protocols" storyline perfectly. Writer Marc Guggenheim and artist Germán Peralta deliver what looks to be a propulsive installment for fans of spy-thriller storytelling in the Marvel Universe.
