# Adventures into the Unknown #59 This anthology issue contains two stories: "The Puppet Show," in which tiny animated figures come to life during a performance and turn against their handler, and "Uncanny Mysteries," featuring biologist Otto Kalmer who is accused of torturing animals for research until a panther he supposedly killed weeks earlier mysteriously reappears, covered in blood, forcing an inquest into the strange circumstances surrounding the animal. The issue also includes "The Power of Hex," a tale involving a man named Jake who is visited by the ghost of Jigger Moran, a criminal he helped execute, warning him that the supernatural force will return to claim him after his own death.
