This anthology issue contains two supernatural stories. "Lavinia's Ghost" follows a man who discovers a mysterious woman with supernatural powers at a TV station reception; when he tries to identify her, he learns she died twenty years ago and may be a ghost seeking revenge. The second story, "The Firebird," depicts an Arabian legend of a mythical phoenix-like creature that burns and resurrects every five hundred years; men seek to control it for world domination, but an old Arab warns that knowledge of the firebird's secret must remain hidden to preserve peace.
