Dr. Robertson is trying to build a rocket but has run out of funds. He then builds robots that he hopes he can sell to raise money but ultimately dies of a heart attack. The robots are purchased by a businessman who makes them preform in a show. Little does anyone realize, the robots have sentience. Tired of being exploited, they escape and finish Robertson's rocket and use it to flee Earth. In the future when mankind has developed technology to fly to the Moon, they find out that the robots have claimed it as their home and will destroy any Earthling who comes to their domain.
