“Marriage of Death”

"Marriage of Death" is a haunting tale from Adventures into the Unknown #11 (1950), where an elderly woman named Marian encounters her friend Annette Whitney—suddenly youthful and unchanged despite the passage of decades. Annette reveals she married Pierre Le Mort, a man who is, in truth, Death himself, and though she died long ago, she remains trapped in her prime, unable to escape his grasp. Ken Bald handles both pencils and inks for the story, while Edvard Moritz delivers the chilling cover art.
