Adventure Time: Candy Capers #2

The second chapter of this six-part KaBOOM! miniseries leans into detective-story energy, with a large magnifying glass dominating the wood-grain cover and revealing a cheerful, wide-eyed Lemongrab peering out from the lens alongside a floating Marceline — hair wild, boots visible — as ink splatters and a pen nib hint at mysteries being written into existence. Cover artist Yuko Ota gives the whole scene a wonderfully playful, slightly noir-tinged charm that pairs perfectly with the story title "Mystery, She Wrote…." If the Candy Kingdom's strangest earl is on the case in 2013, things are bound to get delightfully weird.
