Adventure Comics #390
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis April 1970 DC Giant is a full-throated "Special All-Romance Issue" starring Supergirl, and Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson pack the cover with romantic vignettes: Supergirl in her wedding tiara holding hands with a mysterious suitor at center stage, Superman romancing a Supergirl look-alike on the right, and the winged Super-Horse alongside his human identity on the left. The banner headlines promise tales of Supergirl's wedding day, Superman's romance with Supergirl's double, Super-Horse's human identity, and how Supergirl met Dick Malverne — enough heart-tugging storylines to fill a Giant-sized edition twice over. Leo Dorfman's writing and Jim Mooney's art bring it all to life inside, making this a wonderfully nostalgic snapshot of Silver Age DC romance at its most charmingly earnest.
