Adventure Comics #191
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA delightful slice of Silver Age Superboy mischief, this August 1953 DC issue features a cover by Win Mortimer that sets up a wonderfully awkward predicament: Clark Kent is caught chopping wood with an axe while Ma Kent looks on suspiciously, asking why he isn't using his powers — and overhead, Superboy flies past in a panic, worrying that someone has taken his place and is about to blow his secret identity. The story title "The Two Clark Kents!" promises exactly the kind of dual-identity chaos that made these Smallville tales so much fun. With interior work by Curt Swan and Bill Woolfolk, this is a charming example of early-'50s DC storytelling at its most inventive.
