“Kohti etelää”

"Kohti etelää" marks a pivotal moment in the Action Force / G.I. Joe crossover, with Larry Hama’s sharp storytelling and Mike Vosburg’s dynamic art capturing the Joes’ resolve amid loss. As the team rebuilds their base and mourns fallen comrades, including a quiet funeral for Kwinn and a grim burial for Dr. Venom, the arrival of Cobra’s new Rattler jet tests their strength—only for Duke and Roadblock to turn the tide. The cover by Chris Batista and Don Hudson delivers a tense, action-packed glimpse of the conflict, setting the stage for what comes next.

The Joes begin reconstruction on a better Pit. As they later attend Flagg's funeral, they're attacked by the new experimental Cobra jet, the Rattler, but it's destroyed by Duke (new field commander) and Roadblock. The Baroness is taken to see Dr. Hundtkinder for her severe burns by Bludd. Kwinn is given a private funeral by Snake-Eyes, and we see Dr. Venom's burial in Potter's Field.
