Stuart Immonen and José Marzán Jr.'s cover for Action Comics #740 (December 1997) is a masterclass in unsettling minimalism, letting shadow and menace do all the heavy lifting. Paired with the story title "A Rag, a Bone, & a Hank of Hair," this issue promises something delightfully dark lurking beneath the Man of Steel's surface.
