Action Comics #739
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover by Stuart Immonen and José Marzán Jr. makes clever use of a Rubik's Cube motif to tease three separate crises at once: the electric-blue Superman bound in chains on top, Lois Lane imprisoned behind bars alongside a menacing figure in red on the left face, and the horned Scorn alongside a distressed woman on the right. It's a genuinely clever visual device for a November 1997 issue packed with competing storylines — captivity, romance, and danger all scrambled together like an unsolved puzzle. "Party Trappings" promises plenty of moving pieces, and this cover delivers that sense of delightful chaos with real style.
