In "What Lies Beneath," Superman and Lana Lang are drawn into the hidden world of Subterranea, where they meet Queen Kokya and encounter the mysterious Baka. When they discover the Subterraneans are harvesting tiny creatures to fuel their city, the trio must decide how to act—especially as the Ghost Soldier, once an ally, begins to turn against them.

In "Deep Freeze," Superman finds himself caught between duty and empathy when he must confront Ghost Soldier over a strange outbreak of mutating subterranean creatures exposed to sunlight. With Lana Lang's search for a power source leading nowhere, the arrival of Ukur forces a reckoning—only for Superman to turn his focus toward Ghost Soldier's elusive boss, Harrow, as tensions rise beneath the surface.
