When Tommy finally boards the ship, he discovers it's not a machine, but a living entity: a colossal brain housed in a transparent casing, the last of a spacefaring race that evolved beyond flesh. The story unfolds with a sense of wonder and quiet mystery, as the ship’s true nature and purpose slowly reveal themselves.
