An unknown ship lands on Earth and, using mechanical arms, steals a shipment of radioactive fuel. Tommy and Brent pursue it to Mars, where, again, it is pilfering radioactive material. Tommy eventually boards the ship and finds it powered by a giant brain encased in a protective transparent substance. The brain explains that it comes from a race of space explorers who adapted their bodies to this form. Tommy retrieves the stolen radioactive fuel, but takes the living ship to an uninhabited planetoid composed entirely of radioactive material, which it can plunder at will.
