Absolute Superman #1

Written by Jason Aaron with art by Rafa Sandoval, 'Last Dust of Krypton' collects the opening arc of the 2025 series, introducing a stripped-down, more isolated version of the Man of Steel as he navigates a world that fears him while facing threats like Ra's al Ghul and a militarized Sam Lane. The collection also features key figures from Superman's mythos, including Jor-El, Lara-El, Krypto, and a young Jonathan Kent, all reframed within this bold new continuity.
"Last Dust of Krypton, Part One: Down in the Dirt" kicks off Jason Aaron’s new Absolute Superman series with a powerful dual narrative: in ancient Krypton, Jor-El and Lara face rejection from the elite Science Guild as Jor-El uncovers a dire threat to their world, while on present-day Earth in Brazil, a mysterious figure steps in to protect struggling mine workers. Rafa Sandoval’s striking artwork—both interior and on the cover—brings emotional weight and visual grandeur to this pivotal origin chapter, with Ulises Arreola’s colors and Becca Carey’s lettering enhancing the story’s tone.
