Absolute Batman #18

Part two of "The Seventh Kingdom" arrives with a cover by Nick Dragotta that's genuinely arresting — a heavily armored Batman crouches at the center, wielding what appears to be a massive circular saw, while a striking cobra-hooded figure looms large behind him and flanking allies fill the shadows on either side. Scott Snyder and Eric Canete continue their run on this series, with colors by Frank Martin lending the scene a lurid, neon-drenched atmosphere that feels distinctly dangerous. If the cover is any indication, this chapter is leaning hard into the strange and the threatening.
