Scott Snyder publicly announced on X (formerly Twitter) on October 29, 2025 that the issue had been pushed back two weeks from its original November 12, 2025 release date because he and artist Nick Dragotta chose to expand the Bane fight sequence by five pages after finding a 20-page version felt too compressed; DC accommodated the extension, moving the on-sale date to November 26, 2025. The issue carries a January 2026 cover date and is lettered by Clayton Cowles, with coloring by Frank Martin — the full core creative team consistent across the entire series. The 'Abomination' arc it concludes was collected in trade paperback as Absolute Batman Vol. 2: Abomination.
