A Lucky Luke Adventure #42

Adventure #42 in Cinebook's Lucky Luke series brings "Lone Riders" to English-speaking readers, with writing by Daniel Pennac and Tonino Benacquista and artwork by Achdé working in the spirit of Morris. The cover, drawn and inked by Achdé, is a treat: three scowling outlaws in matching black-and-yellow striped prison outfits are crammed onto a single weary horse, armed and clearly up to no good — while Lucky Luke himself watches coolly from the corner, cigarette nowhere in sight but that trademark cool unmistakable. It's a wonderfully comedic setup that captures the lighthearted Western charm the series has always done so well.
