A Espada Selvagem de Conan #11
In "A Torre do Elefante," Conan returns to his homeland only to find his childhood love, Mala, kidnapped by Vanir invaders. Pursuing them by boat, he stumbles upon a ship littered with dead Vanir and Pictos beside a mysterious black idol, which he takes with him. The journey leads him to the Island of Swords, where he confronts Thorfel, the Beloved, moments before Mala takes her own life. With the help of a band of Pictos seeking the same idol, Conan prepares to face his enemies — all drawn from the legendary tales of Robert E. Howard, reimagined in this 1985 classic by Roy Thomas, illustrated with fierce detail by Gil Kane and Neal Adams, and inked by a stellar team including Neal Adams, Pablo Marcos, Frank McLaughlin, and Vince Colletta. The cover, by Earl Norem, captures the dark, mythic tone of the story.
