On the dark side of Earth's moon, Liana and Jason flee the Institute, but Jason is wounded in the escape. As Liana separates from him to seek help, she encounters Brent and Minetti—only to be cornered by Siovansin guards. Reiken and D'Mer arrive just in time to intervene, but Reiken’s true intentions begin to surface as he tries to win over Brent and Minetti. Meanwhile, Jason is captured by the Guard and taken aboard the Siovansin, where Sere uses a drug to manipulate him, turning him into bait for Liana.
