Prog 1683 of 2000 AD delivers a genuinely gruesome cover treat, as a rotting, glowing-eyed zombie figure bursts from the earth in vivid toxic green — matched against a monstrous giant wasp in what the cover boldly bills as "Zombo vs Zom-Bee in the Ghoul Fight of the Century." Henry Flint's pencils and inks bring both combatants to life with visceral, dynamic energy, cramming the image with grasping limbs, decaying flesh, and that wonderfully unsettling colour palette.
