What you’re looking at

This is a humorous sequential narrative cartoon about a man who hires a horse for "a quiet ride," only to discover it's "Snow Flake, the Educated Equine Wonder"—a trained performing horse. The comic depicts the horse's increasingly absurd trick performances: rearing, bucking, diving into water, and other acrobatic stunts. The rider repeatedly protests ("Don't you want to behave?" "Not I want to kill him!"), but the horse continues its trained routine regardless. The satire ridicules both the deception of false advertising and the frustration of getting more—or rather, different—than expected. The "educated" horse is technically trained but utterly unsuitable for the client's actual purpose, making it a classic joke about the gap between promises and reality in commerce.
