Eptror or Jupce, When the morning mail comes I ascend to the seventh heaven of delight, but when the mail orderly brings the afternoon lot, I flounder in the slough of despond—or vice versa. And it is all the result of that modest little note of mine which you published some few wecks ago. I am quite aware that Jupce is full of jokes, but I never dreamed that one of those jokes would be on me. Since that item appeared I have been deluged with letters, post cards and photographs from all over the United States and Kansas.
