That you may know how to solve these puzzles the answer for No. 1 is given you. It is ‘Leek.’ A similar set of puzzles will appear in the next issue of Jupce. A Check for Twenty Dollars will be sent to the person sending the cor- rect solutions to the twenty-four puzzles This is not a guess- ing contest. There is but one solution to each picture. this solution chosen by the editor and on file Yame in our office. In addition there will be a second prize of $10, four prizes of $5 each, 5 subscriptions to JupGe, and 10 subscriptions to JupGe’s QUARTERLY, twenty-one prizes in all. Answers received later than May 11th will not be considered. The winners will be announced in the issue of May 25th, but prizes will be awarded shortly after the completion of the contest. The following form of answer is sug- gested, though not required, but the ex- aminations of the answers will be ex- pedited if the blank herewith is used.
