# DANGER TRAIL: ADVENTURE FICTION, FEBRUARY 1928
This issue of Adventure magazine published by Clayton features seven action and adventure stories. "The Might of the Scorpion" by Sewell Peaslee Wright depicts Ted McKay extracting venom from a deadly scorpion. A non-fiction serial, "Through the War on a Submarine," relates actual wartime sub-sea adventures as told to D.W. Hall by Captain J.D. Dryburgh. "The Spirit of France" by S.B.H. Hurst tells of a white dancer among Mohammedans amid religious unrest. Other stories include "Black Arrows," a northwoods trapper fighting fire; "The Sub and the Merchant Prince" by F.V.W. Mason about submarine conflict; "Devil Valley" exploring a northwestern valley of terror; "Maehoe" by Murray Leinster concerning a brutal white man and a faithful Black man; and "Passengers," featuring a deserted derelict ship that kidnaps a passenger. A regular prospecting department, "With Pick and Pan" by John A. Thompson, and reader correspondence section complete the contents.
