Three ornamental relief-style panels crown the sheet, depicting episodes from the fairy tale in monochrome cameo — a fallen figure, a cobbler's workshop, a rider. Below them, a dark central vignette shows silhouetted dancing figures against a night sky. The main image then unfolds as a single panoramic scene: a castle landscape in full color where a giant is being wrestled and overcome at the battlements, courtiers and a princess gather at the gate, and a royal procession winds through the background fields. The eye moves top-to-bottom, relief to vignette to panorama. Braun & Schneider's Münchener Bilderbogen — cheap, widely distributed broadsheets — were among the direct ancestors of the modern comic page, training mass audiences to read images sequentially before the newspaper strip existed.
