Rhynchosia erythrinoides Schltdl. & Cham.

This is a herbarium specimen sheet, not a political cartoon or caricature. It shows pressed and dried botanical material — stems, leaves, and seed structures — of Rhynchosia erythrinoides, a climbing legume native to Jamaica, mounted on archival paper with handwritten field labels, printed Flora Jamaicensis headers, and Natural History Museum barcodes. Collected by W. Harris at Chester Vale, Jamaica, at approximately 3,000 feet elevation, and formally identified by C.D. Adams in 1992. No satirical content, printmaking tradition, or caricature is present. Writing a caricature label for this object would be fabrication. This specimen belongs to the tradition of Linnaean systematic botany, not the Hogarth–Gillray–Daumier lineage that gave rise to the comic strip.
