Tite Kubo, born Noriaki Kubo on June 26, 1977, in Japan, is a manga artist and character designer best known for creating the long-running supernatural action series *Bleach*. He began his professional career in the late 1990s with the short series *Zombiepowder.*, which ran in *Weekly Shōnen Jump*. Kubo achieved worldwide fame with *Bleach*, which serialized from 2001 to 2016 and sold over 130 million copies worldwide by 2022. The series follows teenager Ichigo Kurosaki, who becomes a Soul Reaper, and blends martial arts, spirit-world mythology, and stylish character designs. Kubo’s art is noted for its clean lines, dynamic fight choreography, and fashion-forward character aesthetics. He worked closely with editors and assistants on *Bleach*, but the series is primarily his singular vision as writer and artist. His later work includes the one-shot *Burn the Witch* and continued involvement in *Bleach*’s anime adaptation and merchandise. Kubo has received several accolades, including the Shogakukan Manga Award for shōnen in 2005. He remains active in the industry, contributing character designs and illustrations for various media.
