Bleach Volume 28 puts an unsettling face front and center — a massively built figure in white Arrancar robes leans forward with a slow, menacing smirk, his calm expression somehow more threatening than open rage. Tite Kubo's cover art makes superb use of negative space, letting that imposing presence fill the frame with quiet, coiled danger. Published by Viz as part of the Shonen Jump Manga line in 2009, this volume is a compelling addition to one of the most ambitious action manga series of its era.
