Paul Guinan
Paul Guinan is an American writer and artist best known for co-creating the retro-futuristic robot Boilerplate and for his work on DC Comics' *Chronos*. Born in the United States, he entered comics in the mid-1980s, building a career as a versatile artist, colorist, inker, and writer across more than fifty issues. Guinan is a founding member of the Helioscope studio, a collaborative space for creators. Since 1989, he has worked closely with his wife, writer Anina Bennett, forming a prolific husband-and-wife team. Their signature projects include the historical graphic novel *Boilerplate: History's Mechanical Marvel* and the sci-fi series *Heartbreakers*. Guinan’s credits also span licensed properties such as *The Terminator* and *Aliens: Colonial Marines*, as well as *Dark Horse Presents* and the poker-themed *Proposition Player*. His art style blends clean linework with a keen sense of period detail, often seen in his meticulous historical research. Currently, Guinan is developing the graphic novel *Aztec Empire*, continuing his focus on historically grounded storytelling.
