Jimmie Robinson
Jimmie Robinson (born 1963 in California) is an American comic book creator best known for writing and drawing the long-running series *Bomb Queen*, a satirical superhero title published by Image Comics. He began his comics career in the late 1990s, and over the next two decades produced a range of creator-owned work including *Amanda and Gunn*, *Avigon*, *Code Blue*, *Evil & Malice*, *Five Weapons*, *The Empty*, *Power Lines*, and *Junk Rabbit*. Robinson often handled the full creative load—writing, penciling, inking, coloring, and lettering—giving his books a distinctive, unified visual style marked by bold linework and expressive characters. His most frequent collaborator was himself, though *Bomb Queen* featured guest artists on occasion. He co-created the character Bomb Queen, a ruthless antiheroine who satirizes both superhero tropes and political extremism. Robinson’s later work includes the medieval fantasy *The Empty* and the all-ages series *Five Weapons*. He remains active in independent comics, with his bibliography spanning 1997 to 2015 in the catalog. Robinson has not received major industry awards, but his work has maintained a dedicated readership for its unapologetic tone and DIY ethos.
