Bomb Queen #1
Jimmie Robinson's Bomb Queen makes her entrance in this 2006 Image/Shadowline series, and the cover sets the tone immediately — a boldly confident femme fatale reclines atop a chaotic mountain of explosives labeled T.N.T., C-4, nitroglycerin, and more, with a large nuclear-symbol device looming behind her and a black cat perched casually nearby. The warm, moody palette and Robinson's clean linework give the whole scene a pulpy, darkly playful energy that feels like equal parts supervillain showcase and action-comedy. Rated for mature readers, this first issue kicks off "Royal Flush, Queen High: Part One" with a premise that's clearly not short on attitude.

Bomb Queen is the dictator of New Port City. She is an unrepentant super-villain who killed all the local heroes, re-wrote the laws in her favor, and set herself up as dictator for life. And the citizens of New Port City couldn't approve more highly.
