Jamie S. Rich is an American writer, editor, and host known for his work in both prose and graphic novels. Born in 1971, he began his comics career in the mid-1990s, writing for series like *Duklyon: CLAMP School Defenders* and *Clamp School Detectives*, as well as the industry magazine *Dark Horse Extra*. He later became an Executive Editorial Director at IDW Publishing. Rich is best recognized for his creator-owned comics, often collaborating with artist Joëlle Jones on the darkly comedic crime series *Lady Killer* and the romantic noir *You Have Killed Me*. His other notable works include the manga-influenced *Gatcha Gacha*. Rich’s writing style blends sharp dialogue with genre twists, and he has also hosted web series. He passed away in 2021, leaving behind a body of work that spans both independent and mainstream comics. His contributions were recognized with multiple Eisner Award nominations, particularly for *Lady Killer*.
